The Language of Peer Aggression: Recognizing Bullying

Course Access: Lifetime
Course Overview

Students encounter bullying and aggression in schools on an almost daily basis whether as the aggressor, target, or a bystander. However, the majority of bullying incidents are not reported to school personnel or resolved satisfactorily. Join Leigh Anne Kraemer-Naser as she provides an overview of how to recognize the basics of bullying: the different types of aggression, the roles of those involved, and the levels of severity. In addition, she will share specific tips and strategies for observing students and discuss how to structure a basic intervention matrix for addressing aggression. Although not required, it would be beneficial to view the companion webinar in this two-part series, “The Language of Peer Aggression: Encouraging Bystanders to take Action.”
