Course Access: Lifetime
Course Overview

There are so many national, state, and local laws regarding special education and special needs students that it can often be hard to keep all of the legal aspects straight. Join Melissa Mann as she provides an overview of various special education laws and how they relate to students in public schools. This webinar will focus primarily on national U.S. laws, such as No Child Left Behind (NCLB), Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA), and Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), and discuss how they may impact you and the students in your class. Melissa will also discuss a few state and local laws that have set precedents for other states. Disclaimer: This webinar is provided for informational purposes only and is not intended to be ”legal advice.” Any information given should not supersede or take the place of any directives or guidelines you’ve been given by your state or district.
